Tech waste & reuse / Brisbane

More life.
Less tech waste.

Unwanted technology can still have a lot to give. We’re committed to reusing as much as possible — keeping useful equipment and parts in circulation, and sharing the skills to make them last.

01

Reuse first

Keep what’s useful.
Recover what we can.

Our aim is to keep technology working for as long as it can be useful. Recycling comes after we’ve explored opportunities to reuse equipment and recover usable parts.

01Repair

A second life

We assess equipment for repair, refurbishment and practical reuse. Something you no longer need may still be useful to someone else.

02Recover

Useful parts, too

When a whole device can’t be reused, we look for working components that can help repair another device or support hands-on learning.

03Recycle

A considered last step

What can’t be safely or practically reused is directed towards appropriate electronics recycling, with data-bearing storage handled securely first.

02

Data security

Reuse the technology.
Securely destroy the data.

Protecting your information is part of the service. All data will be securely destroyed before equipment leaves our care for reuse or recycling.

Storage intended for reuse must undergo secure sanitisation and verification. Simply deleting files or performing a quick format is not enough.

If storage cannot be reliably sanitised and verified, it will not be reused. It must be physically destroyed to protect the information it holds.

Useful hardware can live on.
Your personal information stays protected.

03

Free workshops

Share the skills.
Extend the lifespan.

Our commitment to reuse includes running free workshops that help people understand, maintain and repair technology. By sharing practical skills, we can help more equipment stay useful for longer.

Workshops will focus on hands-on learning: understanding computer components, basic maintenance, troubleshooting and finding new uses for older equipment.

Get in touch for upcoming workshop details and availability.

04

Get in touch

Got technology
you no longer need?

Tell us what you have, its condition and roughly how much equipment is involved. We’ll discuss what can be accepted, any costs and the handover arrangements before you bring anything in.

Back up anything you want to keep before handing over a device. Secure data destruction is permanent.
